A shared spatial language for music

The project brings together professional and popular music activities within a community of performance, rehearsal, residential and public spaces. The nine-square grid provides a framework for deriving spatial types and organising their relationships.

A large-scale music industry complex is complemented by smaller modular commercial spaces assembled from container units. Plazas, atria, steps and circulation routes connect the different programmes, balancing spaces for focused musical work with opportunities for public encounters and collaboration.
